The V20 is a considerable upgrade over its predecessor, the V10. Both the devices come with the same 32 and 64GB variants, 4GB RAM, same display units — both primary and secondary — but the V20 is lighter and slimmer than its predecessor. Here we take a look at five more features where the V20 comes out on top.
A Snappier Chipset
The new device by LG comes with a Snapdragon 820 SOC which clocks at 2.15 GHz, an upgrade on the Snapdragon 808 on its predecessor, which clocked at 1.8 GHz. Along with this the device also comes with Quick charge 3.0 which works on dynamic voltage and can charge your new LG V20 quicker than Quick Charge 2.0 replenished the V10. For instance, if V10 charged up to 60% within half hour of charge, the V20 will charge up to 70%. Not a significant difference, until you’re left with 10% juice on your device and your friend’s V10 just gave up.
Capture More and Better with Dual Primary Camera
The V20 sports a dual camera arrangement which will help the user capture wide-angle shots with incredible quality. The two units in the camera include a 16MP standard-angle lens and an 8MP wide-angle lens with dual flash. The V10 just got the single 16MP arrangement, which was only able to capture 75° shots as compared to V20s ability to capture 135° shots.
Enjoy the latest Android Nougat update
The V20 comes with the latest Android version 7.0 Nougat out of the box. The V10 came with Android version 5.11 which was later updated to 6.0 Marshmallow.
Power to Gamers
The new device comes fitted with Adreno GPU 530, which can support high graphic games with ease as opposed to Adreno 418 GPU which might run into issues rendering and reproducing the ever-developing games on Android’s marketplace.
More Life to the Device with a Bigger Battery
While the V10 came with a 3000 mAh removable battery, its successor sports a 3200 mAh battery which will give your device more time in your hands and less time attached to a USB cable. Quick Charge 3.0 is an added advantage with the bigger battery as you’ll not only have a battery which runs for a greater period but also one that charges faster. The company will be unveiling the exact price of the device in India at an event in New Delhi on Monday evening and will also be discussing the device’s availability details. We’ll update the page as soon as we’ve confirmation on the price and availability details about the LG V20.
