This is possible because, contrary to past iOS versions, iOS 6 comes with both Twitter and Facebook integrated right into the system. What this means is that while you will need to install both Twitter and Facebook apps in order to read the tweets and wall posts of your friends and people you follow, these apps are actually not necessary in order to be able to post from Notification Center. Let’s take a look at how to do this: The first thing you have to do is head to Settings and scroll down until you find Facebook and Twitter.
Tap Twitter to sign into it. When you are done go back and then tap on Facebook to sign into your Facebook account as well. Swipe down from the top of the screen on any screen to bring down Notification Center. You will now notice that two new buttons have been added to it: “Tap to Tweet” and “Tap to Post”.
Now, in order to post a Tweet or post to your Facebook account, all you have to do is tap on either button. Type your desired message, add your location if you wish, tap Send or Post and you are done.
There you have it. A way to easily share your thoughts and comments that doesn’t require more than two gestures. Of course, you will have to install the apps for both social services if you want to enjoy their full experience. But being able to post to Twitter of Facebook that easily without even installing them in the first place is definitely convenient and welcome.
