7 New Features of PES 2018
The PES 2018 is built upon the same engine of its predecessor but has gained additional official licenses among other improvements to the game and have tied up with FC Barcelona — one of the finest football clubs in the world — to become the premium partners of the gaming title.
Game Play Enhancements
With technological advancements in the gaming industry, games have been getting closer to emulating real life scenarios and physics. This adds to the user experience as people find more authenticity in the game. Konami has enhanced the gameplay by finely tuning the physical aspects such as dribbling, shielding the ball, nutmegging defenders and more, as well as the speed of the game. Their Real Touch+ engine enhances ball control and tries to apply real-world physical laws to it. Set pieces have also been revamped as there is a new way to take a free kick and penalty kick.
Enhanced Visuals
The designing team at Konami have strived hard to make the stadium details look as realistic as possible as they identified and added more than 20,000 elements from Camp Nou and Signal Iduna Park. Right from the stadium light during day and night to pitch turfs and player tunnels, the stadiums in the game are inspired by the two aforementioned ones. The animation system has been reworked upon the real-life player motion capture, right from the way a player walks, turns and stands. Players from PES-partner teams will receive full body tattoos in addition to the face and better kit fitting that has been applied universally for all teams and players.
Online Co-Op Mode
PES finally gets a dedicated Co-Op mode which allows 2v2 and 3v3 co-op play online or on a local network.
Manager Mode
Players can now experience life as a manager in the Master League which also features pre-season tournaments, a revamped transfer system, new presentation elements which include pre-match interviews and locker room scenes.
Fresh User Interface
Users will now be greeted with a fresh user interface for all menus, real player images when the game plan screen or myClub is active and new in-game presentation.
PES League
Players can compete in the PES League by playing in either of the new modes which include myClub, Random Selection match, and Co-Op. “As eSports continue to develop as a worldwide force, PES 2018’s inclusion of a dedicated PES League mode removes any barrier to entry to die-hard fans and newcomers alike,” Masami Saso added.
