In this article, we have compiled a list of the best fitness bands in India to date. We have started from the most basic ones and worked our way to the feature-rich accessories so that it’s easier for you to choose. As it’s going to be a long one, let’s begin!
1. Samsung Fit e
You can set alarms or see the steps in the band. However, for others, you’ll need the aid of the Galaxy Wearable app. This fitness band is fairly basic, however, the tracking is accurate. If you are just starting with fitness accessories and do not want to invest in anything heavy, this is the one you can go with. However, do keep in mind that the features are a bit limited.
2. Xiaomi Mi Band 3
Apart from that, it boasts of a touch-sensitive screen OLED panel and water resistance capacity. And you can easily navigate between the different screens by swiping up/down. I used this tracker continuously for a year and was satisfied with it. The counts are almost accurate, be it the step count or the sleep tracking. However, the Mi Band 3 offers limited customization options. You can change the watch-faces, or choose to tweak the notification settings, but that’s all. There’s no automatic exercise detection, meaning you’ll have to enter the exercise modes manually. You can also wait for the Mi Band 4. This one has a colored display and plenty of customization features.
3. Honor Band 5
The tracking is mostly accurate. While it does count a few extra steps, the sleep tracking mechanism works well. Besides that, it’s waterproof, and you can access its features straight from the band instead of opening the companion app. However, what I loved most about it is its breathable strap. Not only is it comfortable to wear, but the traditional watch-like approach also makes it more secure. I have been using this band for about a fortnight now, and besides the little inaccuracies in step-counting, the band is good.
4. Fitbit Charge 3
It packs a full greyscale touchscreen display and the display is elongated and not square. Plus, it’s swim-proof and comes with a new swim workout mode and an automatic run detection mode. When it comes to reviews, users have praised the product for its sleep tracking and heart rate tracking. And the fact that the battery lasts for days. The only thing about the Fitbit accessories is that they fall on the expensive side.
5. Fitbit Flex 2
The best part of the Flex 2 is that it’ll remind you if you have been inactive or haven’t taken at least 250 steps in an hour. Apart from that, there’s auto-recognition for exercises. And it makes up for the lack of screen with its brilliant app. It comes with a dashboard that shows a gist of your workouts, along with your exercise goals. Reviews have been a tad mixed for this product so far. It can track steps and exercises quite accurately. However, it doesn’t hold a charge for very long. Plus, you have to remember to keep it charged before it runs out. If you want a discreet tracker to count your steps and movement, this band is definitely worth considering.
Back on Your Feet!
With the sedentary lifestyle that we millennials have started to love so much, a fitness band should be mandatory for all. All you have to do is raise your wrist and see the step count or the calories burnt. And if the number is not up to your mark, just get up and walk. Simple! Do note that most affordable bands overestimate steps if you move your hands a lot. So, do remember to take it off before meetings, presentations, or while typing where you’ll be moving your hands and arms a lot.
